- Heavy Duty Construction: Extra-thick deck surfaces are included to alleviate head gasket sealing issues, especially in power-adder applications such as forced induction or nitrous systems.
FED LS3 Monster Series rectangular port (1.400″ x 2.670″) cylinder heads are engineered for LS-based 4.00″ min. bore size engines. Castings features; A357 T6 aluminum alloy, heat-treated, low-silica alloy, 0.750″ deck thickness, 6-bolt head, OEM factory-style water crossover ports, 7/16″ stud size for main 10 bolts, 8mm stud size for outer tabs and deck studs, bronze guides, O-ring exhaust ports, and ductile iron valve seats. Machining process features include include features; 5-AXIS CNC-ported intake, exhaust (1.860″ x 1.700″ D-port), and combustion chambers, precision 5-angle CNC-valve job, PCD deck milled, hand blended and deburred, final wash and assembly, quality control in every stage of manufacturing. Assembled heads Machining process features include: custom PAC 0.700″ lift springs, FED black nitride severe-duty stainless steel intake and exhaust valves, FED titanium retainers, FED steel valve spring locators 0.565″ guide, 7° valve locks, US Seal Viton high-heat valve seals, and US Seal hardened spring shims.
